receves the thanks of the Government for pointing out Some defects on the Emigration

laws, the effect of which has been to cause the whole subject to be reopened with a view to a complete revision of the laws relating to it, and this to only one instance of the Many occasions in which the Magistrate is able to assist the Government in remedying defect which in all probability would not otherwise be brought to light.
